The Porcupine Volunteer Fire Brigade, consisting of seventeen (17) members, provides round the clock protections by utilizing a 911 Pager System which connects the caller to the homes of several members of the brigade as well as the fire hall. The Brigade has two pumper / tanker units. Other equipment includes the Jaws of Life and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus. By agreement additional protection is provided by other surrounding communities.
