P.P.C.S is grades K through 12, with approximately ___ students and 18 teaching staff. Students are mostly rural (70%) and are bussed from a geographical area of approximately 920 square miles. Students come to P.P.C.H.S from the communities of Chelan, Mistatim, Prairie River, Somme, Carragana and from Greenwater Provincial Park.

The emphasis in P.P.C.H.S is on academics, but, an extensive and successful extracurricular program is also offered to our students. Many students choose to be involved in a variety of diverse programs including:

P.P.C.S also offers many vocational classes to its students. There is a modern and well equipped shop where drafting, woodworking, metal working and photography skills are taught and practiced. Food preparation, sewing and interior design are taught in the Home Economics lab. In addition community businesses have joined with P.P.C.H.S to offer an excellent Work Education program where students learn about, and experience, the word of work.
P.P.C.S. places a strong emphasis on academics, as well as a focus on meeting the special needs  of student with learning difficulties. Other activities students participate in are:
