- Only one shopper will be permitted at a time
- Each shopper will be given 15-minutes to shop
Use of profanity, verbal threats or physical violence will not be tolerated. Please respect the restrictions that are being implemented — they are there for your safety, as much as they are for the New to You workers.

Scott Park is a beautiful green space centrally located within the community of Porcupine Plain; the Town of Porcupine Plain & Porcupine Plain Public Library worked together to introduce the Story Stroll at Scott Park, an active literacy program meant to keep children and adults active and maintain children’s reading skills. The Story Stroll has become a very popular program, enjoyed by many families with young children and by local daycare providers — even adults and seniors enjoy reading the posted stories while out for a walk!
For the first week of Culture Days, between September 23rd & 30th, a copy of Phyllis’s Orange Shirt will be posted, with a brief history of Orange Shirt Day and Truth & Reconciliation Day. Stories will be updated throughout the rest of Culture Days. As the Porcupine Plain area has a rich Ukrainian history, as well as a large Filipino community, we will update the Story Stroll with pages of books written in both English/Ukrainian and English/Filipino.
The Town of Porcupine Plain works closely with Metis Nation Saskatchewan Eastern Region II and the Porcupine Plain Metis Local to provide cultural programming for residents and visitors to partake in and enjoy, recognizing that recreation is not only vital to the health, well-being, physical growth, and social development of children, but can also be an important mechanism to promote social inclusion, involvement and engagement.
The Town of Porcupine Plain & Metis Nation Saskatchewan Eastern Region II Office will be hosting jigging classes with professional jigger Courtney Dawn Anaquod. Classes will be offered over two days, September 24th & 25th, for three hours each day.
Pre-Registration Required. Contact Metis Nation Saskatchewan ERII to Register. Click poster (left) to enlarge.
